About Them

Can you please fully explain your business or product line?

We produce Made in Manitoba Honey Turmeric Herbal Tea. It is made in small batches from simple ingredients with no preservatives by infusing Manitoba unpasteurized honey with turmeric, ginger, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon.

To use the product, simply add a teaspoon or two to a cup of hot water or milk. Adjust the sweetness level to your preference. Honey Turmeric Herbal Tea can help make snack or breakfast time easier by simply adding to toast, oatmeal, smoothies, or yogurt. For a more complex taste, try it in your cooking or baking!

With the Winnipeg local maker community continuing to grow, what is the most important thing you’d like potential customers of your company to know?

By purchasing from Dang Good, you are supporting other local businesses as we use local beekeepers, packaging, and a non-profit commercial kitchen. Not only will you get a quality local product, but you can feel “Dang Good” in supporting local.

What inspired you to start your business?

The idea was inspired by my grandmother. I remember always drinking some sort of herbal drinks or soup growing up but I did not enjoy the taste. So, one day I decided to add honey and gave some to my grandmother to try…that’s how Dang Good got started.

What was the biggest struggle you’ve had to overcome?

The biggest struggle is launching the product during Covid as we were not able to attend craft markets to interact with customers.

What has been your biggest success as a maker?

The biggest success is hearing from all of the customers who love the product and have reordered it for their families and friends.

Do you have any advice that you would pass on to someone hoping to start up their own business or product line?

Believe in yourself and your product. Don’t doubt yourself if there’s someone else already doing so and use any negativity to push yourself even harder towards that finish line.

Please share any upcoming events as well as the best place(s) for people the purchase your product!
