About Them

Can you please fully explain your business or product line?

I make basketball planters that can be customized with different colours that match your home decor, your favourite team, or your organization’s logo!

With the Winnipeg local maker community continuing to grow, what is the most important thing you’d like potential customers of your company to know?

Basketball planters are a very unique way to display plants. I think it’s cool that the planters are versatile and can be customized for the sports fan, interior design lover, business, etc.

What inspired you to start your business?

I wanted to make a basketball planter as a gift for my husband’s birthday and decided to post the finished product online. I received lots of messages from people who also wanted one and it just took off from there!

What was the biggest struggle you’ve had to overcome?

The biggest struggle would be exposure as this is a very niche product that people probably haven’t heard of.

What has been your biggest success as a maker?

The amount of support and exposure that has come from within the local basketball community.

Do you have any advice that you would pass on to someone hoping to start up their own business or product line?

Don’t be afraid to try something new. Winnipeg has a great maker community that supports each other.

Please share any upcoming events as well as the best place(s) for people to purchase your product!

You can see all of my products through my Instagram as well as sending a message to customize your own planter.
