About Them

Can you please fully explain your business or product line?

I handmake scrunchies, face masks, scrunchy stands, hair clips, and trinket dishes!

With the Winnipeg local maker community continuing to grow, what is the most important thing you’d like potential customers of your company to know?

My business is my full-time job; I put 100% of my time and effort into every single product I make. I also try to be as eco-friendly as I possibly can! I like to thrift fabric and use reusable packaging for my products.

What inspired you to start your business?

I started making scrunchies for myself which quickly turned into friends and family asking me for some, which then turned into a full-blown business.

What was the biggest struggle you’ve had to overcome?

Losing my business partner. It’s been a year since she left but honestly, it was the best thing that could have happened to me and my business!

What has been your biggest success as a maker?

Having my products in a store and a subscription box!

Do you have any advice that you would pass on to someone hoping to start up their own business or product line?

Be prepared to do everything yourself and I mean everything! Buying packaging, postage stamps, business cards, thank you cards, doing all of your bookkeeping, keeping track of orders, taking product photos, etc. The list just never seems to end when you’re a small business owner.

Please share any upcoming events as well as the best place(s) for people to purchase your product!

Keep an eye on my Instagram for any sales or new products to be released!
