Can you please fully explain your business or product line?
My business is filled with many fun, creative home decor pieces that are sure to make a statement. I do everything with patience, time, and love. I love to make everything from geode-style paintings & sculptures to cement & woodworking as well as a lot of resin crafts.
I also love to interior design so you can feel like your house is a home again!
With the Winnipeg local maker community continuing to grow, what is the most important thing you’d like potential customers of your company to know?
I have worked really hard to get where I am and love to support other local makers as much as I can. This isn’t just a side hustle for me; this is my life.
As a type 1 diabetic, life has thrown its hardest curveballs to me. My doctors call me a miracle story because I have managed to overcome every single obstacle in my way. I really love to make people happy, and I promise to do so for as long as I can
What inspired you to start your business?
Unfortunately, I had to shut my other business down due to the pandemic. I was a wedding planner and had this business on the side just because I loved doing things for myself & making decor for my family & friends! Once I made the hard decision to shut my other business down, I decided to focus on this one, and here I am today.
What was the biggest struggle you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest struggle I had was the fear of giving up. This year alone was not easy, but if you have a dream, hold onto it. It’s never too late, even at times that it’s hard to market what you sell. Put yourself out there. Don’t give up when it seems like nothing is moving forward.
What has been your biggest success as a maker?
My biggest success as a maker would be that I get to be myself and make people happy. I get to do things out of the box every day and every day is different.
Do you have any advice that you would pass on to someone hoping to start up their own business or product line?
Just be patient. Don’t give up when things get hard!
Please share any upcoming events as well as the best place(s) for people to purchase your product!
If all goes well, we’ll be at the Manitoba Night Market & Festival in June.
