About Them

Can you please fully explain your business or product line?

We make all things macrame, including traditional items like plant hangers and wall hangings, and more contemporary items like lanterns, purses, and coasters. Everything is handmade by myself or my mom.

With the local maker community continuing to grow, what makes you stand out from the rest?

We are a female-run small business, who personally make everything by hand. Sustainability is important to our business; we only work with 100% recycled cotton, so consumers can feel good about purchasing our products.

What made you realize that you had a product that could be shared with others?

Initially, we only created for friends and family, then through word of mouth, we started getting requests which led to us starting the business.

What has been your biggest success as a maker? Biggest struggle you’ve overcome?

Having other businesses reach out to inquire about carrying our products!

Learning the ins and outs of running a business! And creating fair price-points; often we weren’t paying ourselves for our work.

Any advice that you would tell someone hoping to start up their own business or product line?

We’re still learning; if anyone has advice for us we’d love to hear. haha

Please share any upcoming events (physical events, virtual sales, etc.) that you think Winnipeggers would be interested in!
