Local Musician Raising Funds For Red Cross
Local folk-rocker Jared Adams has released a new single, “You Are Not My Enemy,” and he’s donating all sales proceeds to the Manitoba Red Cross.

Inspired by the frustrating polarization in this province following the anti-mask and anti-lockdown protests, “You Are Not My Enemy” is Adams’ plea for unity. With the songs’ message of putting others’ needs before your own, it’s fitting that Adams is has chosen to donate proceeds for the song towards charity.
The Manitoba Red Cross provides disaster relief services, first aid and CPR classes, refugee services and more. And this year, they have been instrumental in the response to COVID-19. They have supported First Nations communities by providing supplies for isolation kits, transportation and lodging for those unable to self-isolate in their communities and more. They’ve also stepped in to support the needs of residents in long-term care homes dealing with COVID-19 outbreaks.

Jared Adams has been performing around Winnipeg since 2006 and also currently plays with the indie rock group Colour By Numbers. Earlier this year he released his debut solo album, “Tragic Nostalgia,” which we at The WPG call “pure Canadiana vibe.” Be sure to buy the new track “You Are Not My Enemy” and show your support for local talent and the hard-working folks at Manitoba Red Cross.
