About Them

Can you please fully explain your business or product line?

I make different shaped crayons, such as letters, fish, vehicles (airplanes, cars, trains and boats). I also make Halloween themed crayons and Christmas themed ones!

With the local maker community continuing to grow, what makes you stand out from the rest?

I would like to think that I stand out because I give my customers a choice of colours and take numerous pictures for them to choose from.

What made you realize that you had a product that could be shared with others?

I realized I had a product that could be shared with little children when I made my kids crayons as well as crayons for their classrooms as treats for Halloween and Valentine’s Day.

What has been your biggest success as a maker? Biggest struggle you’ve overcome?

I think the biggest success I have had as a maker is making children happy. My oldest had her friend over and saw me making crayons. I offered to make her name up for her; she picked her colours and got to take them home with her that day. She was so excited to show her parents what she got.

My biggest struggle I will have to say is having people contact me, but then go elsewhere for a product.

Any advice that you would tell someone hoping to start up their own business or product line?

Go for it, if it can be done on the side then do it. If not on the side, still go for it. You only have one dream and it won’t succeed or come to the light if you do not go after it.

Please share any upcoming events (physical events, virtual sales, etc.) that you think Winnipeggers would be interested in!

Messaging me through Facebook is the best way to connect and make orders right now.
